Stephen “Ben” McAndrew is a Program Assistant at the Science Philanthropy Alliance, where he leverages his extensive experience in nonprofit development and grants management to support the Alliance’s mission. He is skilled in fundraising, grants compliance, stakeholder engagement, and database management, ensuring efficient processes and impactful results.
Before joining the Alliance, Ben worked at the Houston Symphony and the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation, managing significant grant portfolios and fostering strong relationships with corporate and foundation partners. He has a proven track record of drafting acknowledgment letters, coordinating partner engagement, and supporting sponsorship activities.
Ben also gained valuable experience as a Campaign Intern for San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg’s re-election, where he handled constituent relations and community engagement. Additionally, he served as a Student Orientation Leader at the University of Texas at San Antonio honing his public speaking and event coordination skills.
He holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating cum laude.
