2023 was a year of intense activity for the Science Philanthropy Alliance marked by the achievement of key milestones such as influencing over $500 million toward basic science research initiatives, executing our first major thought leadership effort, the Science Philanthropy Indicators Report, presenting at key forums such as the Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable, and more. Our greatest accomplishment is that we have built—and continue to build—a strong and diverse community of members committed to sharing ideas and perspectives that advance discovery science.
“Together, the Alliance and its members are unlocking the power of community and innovation to deliver solid investments in basic science research, ” stated France A. Córdova, the Alliance’s President. At the end of 2023, membership was at 36 members and climbing. Our members range from leading global foundations to individual philanthropists.
