The Science Philanthropy Alliance is proud to share our 2024 Annual Report, A Decade of Discovery. This digital report reflects on both the past year and the decade since our founding in 2014.
Over the past ten years, the Alliance has partnered with hundreds of philanthropists and foundations, influenced over $4 billion in new funding, and built a thriving community committed to advancing scientific discovery for the benefit of society and the planet.
In 2024, our momentum continued: we completed more than 100 advisory projects, influenced over $170 million in discovery science funding, welcomed three new members, and laid the groundwork to transition from fiscal sponsorship to independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in early 2025.
We are deeply grateful to our members, staff, board of directors, external science advisors, and broader community of partners who share our belief in the power of science to shape a better future. This report celebrates all we’ve achieved together, and calls us to keep moving forward with curiosity, collaboration, and purpose.
