Amit Mistry, Ph.D.
Amit Mistry, Ph.D., is a Senior Fellow at the Science Philanthropy Alliance, where he leads special projects focused on strengthening the science philanthropy ecosystem. He has spent more than 17 years advancing scientific research through science policy, program development, and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining the Alliance, Amit served as a Senior Scientist at the NIH's Fogarty International Center and previously held positions at USAID, the U.S. Congress, and Research!America. His work has spanned global health, biomedical research, data science, and science and technology policy. Amit began his career as a high school science and math teacher with Teach for America. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a doctorate in bioengineering, both from Rice University.
