Lara Littlefield

Executive Director, Allen Family Philanthropies

Lara Littlefield is Executive Director of Allen Family Philanthropies, where she leads portfolio strategy and development for the private foundation’s work across the environment, arts and culture, youth development, and communities. Established in 1988, Allen Family Philanthropies - formerly known as the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation - annually awards approximately $60 million to help build thriving and resilient communities in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Prior to the foundation, she was Associate Vice President for Innovation Strategy at the University of Washington, helping move technologies to market, including through investment programs and startup incubation. She also served as the Chief Strategy Officer for the Global Innovation Exchange, a global partnership between major research universities and corporations developing leaders in innovation through educational experiences, including a first-of-its-kind Master of Science in Technology Innovation. Before the University of Washington, she was a principal consultant The Collins Group (now Campbell and Company), helping nonprofit organizations scale their impact.

Lara is a World Affairs Council Fellow alumna and holds a Master of Public Policy and Governance from the University of Washington.
