Maya Considine

Maya Considine joined the Science Philanthropy Alliance as a Program Assistant in the summer of 2026, supporting the Alliance’s operations, events, and advisory team. Prior to joining the Alliance, she earned a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago, where she completed a dual specialization in Energy and Environmental Policy and International Development. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, where she conducted microbiology research on the relationship between the gut microbiome and aging.

Maya previously worked with the United Nations Development Programme’s Regional Bureau for Africa, where she supported the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) unit. She also worked with the Terrance Lewis Liberation Foundation, providing legal support for incarcerated individuals seeking clemency and post-conviction relief. She is passionate about advancing scientific research and impact through effective policy, philanthropy, and institutional collaboration.
