Nora Linzer, Ph.D.

Civic Science Fellow

Nora Linzer joined the Science Philanthropy Alliance as a Civic Science Fellow in the summer of 2026. In this role, she studies how to form effective science funding collaborations, and facilitates partnerships between funders.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Nora earned her Ph.D. in Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University as a Centennial Fellow. There, she was a member of an international collaboration developing high-resolution simulations of the interstellar medium, and studied the transport of high-energy particles and radiation. Before Princeton, she earned a B.S. in Physics at Caltech and conducted research across a broad range of topics in astrophysics at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Duke University, and the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen. Outside of research, she has participated in and organized several outreach programs aimed at involving elementary school students in science.
