Yale University awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree to Dr. France A. Córdova, president of the Science Philanthropy Alliance, during its commencement ceremony held May 22, 2023. Dr. Córdova is a prominent astrophysicist and a former director of the National Science Foundation, NASA’s chief scientist, and president of Purdue University.
